Jardim Público da Ajuda

Area: 11,500 square metres

Jardim Público da Ajuda, located next to Caminho Velho da Ajuda and to the north of Estrada Monumental, is an important leisure area. The vast central lawn is encircled by flower beds with shrubbery, trees and herbaceous plants, most of them brought from tropical and subtropical regions.

On the north side of the garden, there is a children’s play area and workout equipments for adults.

The garden is open to the public since August 2005, and for this reason, its tall, slim trees are still a long way from reaching their prime.
