Quinta do Poço

Area: 8,100 square metres

Quinta do Poço is a garden centre where plants for the municipal parks and gardens are grown.  Its name comes from its 7,000m3 water storage tank that supplies drinking water to the city.

Located below the belvedere, from which there is a beautiful view of the lower part of Funchal, is a dragon tree, its most representative tree.

Here, like in any other park or garden in Funchal, peak bloom season is spring and summer.
