Sacred Art Museum

This museum, housed in the former Episcopal Palace of the Funchal Diocese, opened its doors in 1955. It contains two main interests: Flemish art, Painting, Sculpture and Goldsmithery and Portuguese Art, Painting, Sculpture, Goldsmithery, religious items and liturgical ornaments. Most of the works on display at the museum comes from churches and chapels of the Funchal Diocese.
