Palácio da Junta Geral
Former location of Hospital de Santa Isabel, a hospital built for the poor. In 1933, when the construction of Hospital dos Marmeleiros was complete, it was handed over to the district’s District Council. It currently houses several departments of the Regional Government. A number of interesting elements remain, namely the polychrome «azulejos» with motifs taken from Portuguese 17th century «azulejos».
